I purchased this item after seeing it at a friends home. I loved the way it looked and the scent diffused in the room nicely. I purchased my own and just love it. For the scent to be most effective,use 100% pure essential oils and put a few drops of oil on the rocks and over the plastic cover above the oil well. The scent lasts and lasts. 5-6 drops of oil lasts at least 18 hrs. More cost effective than candles and way prettier. Peppermint oil is best, the scent is strong enough to diffuse nicely and its very uplifting. Enjoy
I wasn’t sure that I would like it when I ordered it; however I do. It is perfect for me since I have pets and don’t feel comfortable with candles. Very peaceful and nice.
I bought this item because I like to use essential oils for aromatheraphy; also, I was drawn by the safety of the flameless candle. Most of us have such busy schedules that it’s impractical to have to monitor a burning candle — and who isn’t liable to forget the candle when dashing out the door? That being said, I found this product acceptible. I like the addition of the river stones; they give the appliance natural texture, beauty, and provide a grounding aspect. What I am disappointed with is the “gentle” diffusion of the oils. Even in the small space of my bathroom, the fragrance is simply not well diffused. I have tried adding more oil to the little diffusing tray, but I suspect there isn’t enough warmth generated by the electric “candle” to diffuse the scent. The product is attractive; it’s safe, it’s inexpensive, but if you want real diffusion of essential oils, buy a nebulizing mister.
I had high hopes fr this product, and the design was adequate. Although the candle didn’t look real and the plastic fixtures were … well, very plastic … I didn’t expect anything more for the price. However, I did expect the product to work. When I plugged it in for the first time, the heating light went on yet there was no heat. Instead of the oil warming up and creating a lovely aroma, the product smelled like food had rotten inside–a very strange and very disturbing smell. It wasn’t strong, but it was enough for me to do a double take, that’s for sure!
I tried my best to give this product a fair try. I left it plugged in for three hours, hoping eventually it would heat up–but it didn’t. The next day, I plugged it in again. Luckily the bad smell was gone, but the product still didn’t heat and no oil scent was diffused into the room.
Additionally, when I received the product, the essential oils it came with had spilled all over, saturating the inside of the box. Quite a mess.
I’m returning this product to Amazon for a full refund. I won’t take a chance with an exchange.
I came across this while out shopping for something else, and I bought it on “impulse”, because I liked it. I figured I could always return it if I changed my mind. Well, I absolutely LOVED IT!! It was perfect! I loved it so much that I went out and purchased two more exactly like it!!! I love the fact that they may be used either with batteries, or plugged into the wall. That makes them easy to move around and, they may also serve as light if the power goes out. I use my candles as night lights. The light they project is soft and soothing, and “cozy”. They are also pretty. They are classy and elegant looking. They come with brownish rocks, which are nice. However, I went out and bought different colored rocks so I could change the color schemes. They come with a bottle of citrus and a bottle of lavendar oils. So far I have only used the lavendar and it smells great. My mother was over and she commented on how nice they were, so I went and bought one for her too to give her as a Christmas gift. It has only been about three weeks, and so far they seem to be holding up well and I could not be more pleased with this product. I may even go and get more!!
