i feel your pain, literally. i have a herniated and degenerating disc (L-4, L-5) with nerve damage. it all happened back in feb 29, 08. i’ve seen a chriopractor and physical threapist. then had microdiscetomy sugery which didn’t do a thing. after my “specialist” took his sweet time to see me again i went and got a 2nd opinion.(family reccommended) that doc said its not too bad where i need sugery, but he said over time it’s gonna get worse. i felt like he slapped me in the face. he referred me to a pain specialist where i’ve had 2 nerve block shots, with no relief. but i also see a PT which helps with my movement and such. i am still in alot of pain. it hurts to sit and if i move around too much. they give me meds for my pain, muscle twitching and for my nerves. i am all set to get my 3rd nerve block shot next month, they pinpointed my nerve damage to my S-1 nerve. i hope the shot helps, but if it doesn’t they’re gonna pretty much start all over with a new plan. so all in all i wouldn’t specifically know how to get relief, i just wanted to say that i hope you have better luck.
